At the Royal Rumble last Saturday, one of the two championship matches featured Kevin Owens and Logan Paul competing for the United States Title.

In a tough and evenly matched battle, Owens came very close to winning the gold. However, the referee noticed that KO had used brass knuckles to knock out Logan. This led to Paul keeping his belt through disqualification.

After their match, Logan Paul talked about his championship battle with Kevin Owens on his IMPULSIVE podcast.

He’s ruthless man I’ll be honest with you,” Paul said. “He’s good, he’s very good. I made fun of him frequently, I called him all sorts of things, the ‘Humpty Dumpty of WWE,’ Called him a 40-year old schoolboy because he dresses like a teenager. I underestimated him and I’m in a little bit of pain.”

Although Logan Paul did pick up the win against the former Universal Champion, their issues seem far from over, considering that Owens lost via the use of brass knuckles that his opponent introduced into the matchup.

Since Logan has been using sneaky tactics to win several recent matches, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis might choose to arrange a rematch between Owens and Paul at Elimination Chamber in Perth. But this time, the match will be a no-disqualification bout, preventing Logan from cheating to keep the United States Championship.

#1. Cody Rhodes picks The Tribal Chief

Cody Rhodes made history last Saturday by winning the Royal Rumble match. He is now the first superstar to achieve back-to-back victories in the match since Stone Cold Steve Austin did it in 1998.

After his big win, the wrestling community shared their thoughts on Cody’s achievement. WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray also expressed his opinion on Rhodes while talking on Busted Open Radio.

Once you put Cody’s name in that sentence, with those superstars, you now have changed people’s perception. Now he takes another step forward in people’s minds, because they go, ‘Oh. This week on RAW, the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins threw a wrench in the works as he asked Cody to challenge him at Mania instead of Roman Reigns, with The Visionary claiming that his title is the true workhorse championship of WWE.

Even though Rollins tried hard to influence Rhodes, many still think Cody will target Roman Reigns and his Undisputed WWE Universal Title. This is the same championship that The American Nightmare came very close to winning in the main event of WrestleMania 39 last year.

Even though Cody is usually on RAW, he’s going to be on SmackDown tonight. Roman Reigns is also confirmed to be on the show. This could mean that the WWE Universe might finally witness the confirmation of an epic rematch between them.
