Amelia Island to Host Ukraine vs Romania Matches: BJK Cup

The location for the qualifying matches scheduled for April 12-13 was disclosed on Tuesday.

Elina Svitolina’s Svitolina Foundation manages Ukraine’s team in the competition. Elina, a three-time Grand Slam semifinalist, including last year at Wimbledon.

Originally, Ukraine was supposed to host Romania, but due to the ongoing conflict that started with Russia’s invasion two years ago, the matches had to be relocated. Ukraine was also set to host the United States in Davis Cup qualifying last month, but those matches were moved to Lithuania.

The Romania vs. Ukraine matchup is one of eight best-of-five-match series in April to determine the teams advancing to the BJK Cup Finals in Seville, Spain, scheduled for November.
