The couple shared this delightful news on their Instagram profiles.

Earlier this month, AB de Villiers, a longtime teammate of Kohli in the Royal Challengers Bangalore, revealed on his YouTube channel that the couple was expecting their second child. De Villiers shared parts of the text messages exchanged between him and Kohli.

“With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on February 15th, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay and Vamika’s little brother into this world,”
both Kohli and Anushka wrote.

In a press release last month, when India unveiled their squad for the initial two Tests against England, the BCCI mentioned that Kohli would miss the matches in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam due to personal reasons.

“So I wrote to him ‘Been wanting to check in with you (sic) for a while now biscuits. How are you?’. He said ‘Just need to be with my family right now. I am doing well.’. Yes, his second child is on the way.”

But later, in an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, de Villiers would conceded, “I made a terrible mistake at the same time, sharing false information, which was not true at all. I think whatever’s best for Virat’s family comes first. No one knows what’s happening there, all I can do is wish him well.”

Despite expectations for his return later in the series, the Indian cricket board announced before the Rajkot Test that the former India captain had opted out of the remaining matches.

“Virat Kohli will remain unavailable for selection for the remainder of the series due to personal reasons. The Board fully respects and supports Mr. Kohli’s decision,”
the BCCI stated.

William said.

In addition to calling for an end to the fighting, Prince William’s office has mentioned his intention to highlight the increasing global issue of antisemitism.

In a letter obtained by Reuters, the lawmakers claim Biden is overlooking TikTok’s well-known national security risks. They question how the federal government can caution Americans about the app’s dangers when the Commander in Chief utilizes it.

Biden’s campaign recently joined TikTok on Feb 11, aiming to connect with younger voters. The campaign’s first video has gained 9.6 million views, and it has around 162,000 followers.

Senators Marco Rubio, Jerry Moran, John Barrasso, Marsha Blackburn, Rick Scott, and Josh Hawley are among the lawmakers urging Biden to “delete your account and publicly acknowledge the national security threat posed by TikTok.”

As of Monday, the White House, TikTok, and the Biden campaign have not responded to requests for comments on the letter.

Last week, Democratic Senator Mark Warner raised concerns about TikTok’s national security implications and the Biden campaign’s decision to join. He mentioned India’s ban on TikTok, expressing concern about a mixed message.

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley reiterated her call to ban TikTok, calling it incredibly dangerous during a Fox News event on Sunday.

Congressional efforts to ban TikTok or impose new restrictions have stalled. Some lawmakers advocate placing China-based TikTok parent ByteDance on an export control list through the Commerce Department.

TikTok reported to Congress last month that 170 million Americans use the app, up from 150 million a year earlier.

The White House highlighted last week that a ban on TikTok’s use on government devices, approved by Congress in 2022 and signed by Biden, remains in effect.

In March 2023, the US Treasury-led Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) demanded TikTok’s Chinese owners sell their shares or face a potential ban. However, the administration has not taken any action on this so far.

A Vistara spokesperson has finally commented on the matter and said, “Shortly after take-off, a technical snag was detected on Vistara flight UK531 operating from Mumbai to Hyderabad on 17 February 2024. As a precautionary step, in accordance with the standard operating procedures, the pilots decided to turn-back and landed the flight safely at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International airport, Mumbai.

This unexpected downturn led to Japan losing its spot as the world’s third-largest economy in dollar terms, slipping to the fourth position behind Germany.

The report highlighted a decrease in spending by both households and businesses for the third consecutive quarter. The downturn challenges predictions about the Bank of Japan (BOJ) ending its negative interest rate policy soon. The surprise contraction complicates the BOJ’s plan for a rate hike, which many economists predicted would happen by April. The market’s reaction showed a decrease in the likelihood of a BOJ rate hike by April, dropping from 73% to around 63% after the results.

Takeshi Minami, an economist at Norinchukin Research, noted that the unexpected contraction poses challenges for the BOJ, affecting its plans to end the negative rate policy. Despite recent discussions about a possible policy shift, the BOJ had aimed to reassure markets that a rate hike wouldn’t signal a drastic change.

The contraction in GDP for the fourth quarter signals a technical recession for Japan, raising doubts about the BOJ’s quick departure from its current policy stance. The data emphasized Japan’s reliance on external demand as domestic demand weakened amid persistent inflation.

Factors contributing to the economic downturn include a 0.2% retreat in private consumption, with households tightening budgets due to rising living costs. Household spending also fell by 2.5% in December compared to the previous year. Business spending was sluggish, decreasing by 0.1% in the last quarter.

Analysts noted that sticky inflation is impacting consumers’ purchasing power, resulting in weak consumption, resembling mild stagflation. Atsushi Takeda, chief economist at Itochu Research Institute, expressed shock at the results and suggested that the possibility of a BOJ rate hike in March is now virtually eliminated.

The weakening yen, reaching levels not seen since November, could contribute to inflationary pressure in the coming months. Despite these challenges, net exports contributed 0.2 percentage points to growth, driven by increased exports in December. Looking ahead, external demand may face challenges in supporting growth in 2024 as Japan’s key trading partners are expected to experience a slowdown in economic recovery.
